Jessi, it sounds to me like you're doing a fabulous job as a mother. And from what I know of you, I have no doubt you will be amazing. Reading your struggles with sleep, I can relate, as so many mothers can. It does suck, but you do get through it and the next phase of Kael's life will come with new joys and challenges. People can give you as much advice as they want, but I've learned that sometimes you just have to go with your instincts. What works for one child might not work for yours. That's ok. Mom's won't always agree, but you have to be confident in your choices and techniques. There's no doubt about it, you will make mistakes. The great thing is, God's there to pick up the pieces for you and Kael. I always tell Dan that I'm going to send our kids to your mom and Diane when they're 18 to fix them. :) though it's funny, it's true. God heals and you can't focus on what you're not doing right. Simply learn from your mistakes and enjoy being a mother. They grow fast, as you're obviously already seeing. Sometimes I feel like you do...people don't think you know anything about parenting. But let me tell you something, You know a LOT because if you didn't, Kael wouldn't be doing as fabulous as he is. You have a lot to offer and there will be new moms knocking on your door for advice too and you'll be able to give them advice because you'll have conquered your own struggles with your children. You're blessed Jessi. I just wanted you to know that! Be encouraged today and take time to simply enjoy the two men in your life. The world is better because you're in it Jessi!
